About Ego Maduekwe

Ego Maduekwe is a Lagos/London based fashion house creating clothes for women who dress with ease, curiosity and a strong sense of self.

Founded by architect-turned-designer Ego Maduekwe, the house brings together sculptural form, expressive colour and Nigerian craftsmanship in a distinctly modern language.

Each collection is shaped by the textures of life around us. The architecture of Lagos, the movement of wrappers, the abundance of Nigerian gardens and the beauty of objects made by hand. These influences appear in engineered prints, fluid draping, traditional and embroidery: never as nostalgia, but as clothes for the present.

Developed in London and made in Lagos in limited quantities, each piece is designed to be lived in, collected and kept. Clothes with presence and ease, made to become part of a woman’s life.
